Nigel Marsh on TED: Work Life Balance Is an Ongoing Battle

As we spend time with friends and family and consider our plans for the new year, the holiday season is a good time to reevaluate the balance you’ve struck between work and life. Nigel Marsh tackles this issue in his TEDxSydney talk and in his book Fat, Forty, and Fired: One Man’s Frank, Funny, and Inspiring Account of Losing His Job and Finding His Life.

Marsh encourages his audience to be proactive in determining what balance means to you and establishing your own boundaries. “The small things matter,” Marsh says. “If enough people do this, we can change the way society defines success. And that seems to me like an idea that’s worth spreading.”

How do you find balance between your professional and your personal passions?
